Status questions crowd out the real cases
Where is my transfer? Has my claim moved? Is my card active again? These take a minute each and arrive hundreds of times a day, in the same queue as the complaint that needs a specialist.
FINANCIAL SERVICES · DOSSIER
Most of what reaches a bank’s service line is the same handful of urgent requests: balances, card blocks, failed transfers, disputed charges.
Concierge answers them, verifies the customer, opens the case with a reference number and routes it. Every decision about money stays with an officer.
For service, complaints, claims, applications and relationship teams
Dispute raised
The customer says what went wrong.
Details captured
Identity confirmed, details captured.
Case opened
The case exists, with a reference.
Qualified review
An officer picks it up, history attached.
One customer rings to check whether a payment landed. The next rings to dispute one. Both wait in the same line, and the officer who could settle the dispute spends the morning reading balances aloud. By the time the dispute reaches them, its history sits in three different sets of notes — so someone rebuilds it by hand before the assessment can even start.
Where is my transfer? Has my claim moved? Is my card active again? These take a minute each and arrive hundreds of times a day, in the same queue as the complaint that needs a specialist.
A complaint passes from service to resolution to a specialist. Each hop leaves the dates, the customer’s own words and the earlier calls somewhere else, so the customer explains it again and the trail is hard to follow afterwards.
Stalled applications, missing documents and promised callbacks all lose to the inbound queue. The customer is left unsure what they still owe you, so the application quietly goes cold. Nobody decided to drop it — there was simply never an hour in the day when someone was free to pick up the phone.
INBOUND OPERATION
Concierge picks up, works out why the customer is calling and runs your verification steps before anything account-level is discussed. It answers what it can, and where the call needs a record it opens one and reads back the reference. It is explicit about what has happened: logging a dispute is not resolving it, and starting an application is not approving it. When policy says a person, the call transfers with the customer already verified and the details already gathered. The customer gets an answer or a reference in the same call, and the officer who picks it up is not starting from a blank note.

CONNECTED WORK
Which systems Concierge may write to, and which fields, is agreed field by field during discovery. It creates or updates the complaint, application or claim, issues the reference and puts the case in the review queue. It never infers eligibility, fraud, liability or entitlement — a status is not a decision. If verification fails or a write does not complete, the case goes to your team with the attempted action marked, not silently dropped. Because the reference exists from the first second, complaint ageing is measured from when the customer actually called, not from when somebody got round to logging it.

OUTBOUND OPERATION
Working from a list you approve, Concierge chases the incomplete application, asks for the missing document, confirms the customer is still interested and books a callback with an officer. The same pattern covers claims, renewals, retention and post-resolution feedback. Every call says who is calling and why, verifies before disclosing anything, and writes the answer against the right record. Ask it for advice and it hands you to a person. These are the calls that quietly decide whether an application converts, and they are the first thing to be dropped when the inbound queue is full.

Industry benchmarks · not Concierge results
Inbound: faster resolution on the failed payments and disputes that drive customers away, a support cost curve decoupled from customer growth, and a consistent, auditable record of every contact. Outbound: applications that convert because someone called back in time, leads qualified within minutes rather than days, and retention outreach that reaches the customers actually at risk.
